Equipment introduction:

    Emile Bolina developed a flat disc phonograph. Its characteristic was using disc shaped record instead of cylinder, compared with  Cylinder Phonograph, the gramophone’s performance had been significantly improved, it was the prototype of the modern phonograph.

  The second generation of the phonograph is an original playback device, the voice was stored in the groove of the arc carved out of the recording plane with acoustic method. An undulating orbit or groove achieved sound vibration, fluctuations on the disc plane can reproduce the acoustic pressure changes as accurate as possible. When the stylus moves along the groove, the tip vibrates slightly with the groove. The vibration transfers a membrane through a membrane mechanical transmission device and amplified and distributed it in the air.
